So if you read my last post, you will see that the Lord has laid the issue of child trafficking on my heart.  Well, I’m excited to share with you the first thing I am doing about it.  I am going to be participating in a walk put on by Stop Child Trafficking Now (http://www.sctnow.org/) on October 2nd. 

SCTN is unique in its approach to fighting child trafficking.  There are numerous organizations in the US that either rescue or help rehabilitate victims of trafficking.  These organizations are extremely needed, but unfortunately do not address the cause of the problem.  The belief of SCTN is it is important to rescue victims out of slavery situations, but as long as there is a demand, new children will just replace the ones that have been saved.  SCTN puts together special operative teams comprised of retired military personnel who will go after the traffickers, putting together a criminal case that is turned over to the US government for prosecution.
