Thought I would write an update on our process. Yesterday I mailed our i-600a form to the US government, along with all of the other documents they need. Last Friday, I sent off a huge packet to go to Uganda for our lawyer there. We still lack a few items for him, but are at the mercy of the US govt. to get them to us.
So, now we wait. We wait for the US govt. to send us an appointment to get our fingerprints taken so they can run an FBI background check. Then we wait for the US to approve us. After we have US approval to adopt, our lawyer can start things on the Ugandan side.

Thank you so much for your prayers for our sweet babies during this time!
Oh honey! I know what you mean! The waiting is so unbearable…allows for way too much thinking! Can you imagine what it would be like if we were on a "noraml" adoption schedule???
It took us about 4 weeks to get our FBI appointments – not too bad. They are on the 12th. And we also sent off paperwork.
I think we are both going to be surprised when we hear that we are going
