Growing up, I always LOVED school supply shopping, so you can bet I got Maya all stocked up for our endevor. She was really excited to get to use her new fat pencils (remember those?), flower spiral notebook and puppy dog folder. Her favorite part, however, was organizing all of her supplies in her supply box. She’s a girl after my own heart. Last night, when I was showing Jeff everything I had bought for Maya, I told him that the supply box was my favorite thing when I started school. I include pictures of Maya in her backpack because she insisted on wearing it all day for “school”. It was so cute how excited she was. She definitely has the brains for our little program. I’ll have to get back to you on her attention span. ๐
1st Day of School – Homeschool, that is.
After much prayer, I decided not to send Maya to preschool this year. She’s 3 years old, and there are plenty of great programs out there, but I just didn’t have a peace about it for us this year. (At least this semester. We’ll see what life is like when the new baby gets here.) That being said, today we started our little preschool curriculum at home. After grueling hours and hours over which program to use, I decided on curriculum provided at http://www.abcjesuslovesme.com/. My sweet friend Chrys sent it to me. (Thanks, Chrys!) It is for preschool, and it’s free! I found several other programs, but among other benefits, this one included Bible in the curriculum, so it won.
I also included some random pics of Olivia because she’s just so cute. ๐
yay!! congrats on your first day! she looks adorable w/ her backpack!
glad you like the website! i need to check it out some more. we started in genesis so i will definitely pull from it. i particularly like a lot of their finger plays and rhymes.
have you read "family driven faith" by voddie baucham? i'm reading it right now and think you would really like it.
Hey Jes- thanks for sharing that website. I have been trying to find something to challenge Hannah– she's not quite at the PreK age, but is so ready for it. So, we are going to try using some of this curriculum! Thanks….it will definitely keep us entertained during the winter ๐

We also use the curriculum at http://www.abcjesuslovesme.com and love it. She has just added a new blog for moms to be able to share ideas. Look forward to seeing everyone's ideas.
