This card was given to me by Jeff with a really sweet note inside. I can’t believe he found this card because it is so true. My husband is so sacrificial and selfless with me, but if I mess with his fries or dessert, look out! ๐
Jeff treated me to a night out on Friday, and it was so great. When I got in the car, Jeff had a beautiful rose, card (above) and bottle of sparkling cider sitting in my seat. He knows I love wine, but can’t have it right now. He then took me to The Silver Fox steakhouse for dinner, which was good, however we both agreed that III Forks is still our favorite steak place. When we are going to go out for a nice dinner we always end up trying other restaurants and then decide we should have just gone back to the old faithful. ๐ After dinner we went downtown and checked in to our hotel.
The next morning we went to Cafe Brazil for breakfast, where I got my favorite chicken crepes. BTW – If you have not eaten at Cafe Brazil, you’re missing out! Most of Saturday we shopped around North Park and then went to The Cheesecake Factory for an afternoon meal.
Spending uninterrupted time with my sweet husband was WONDERFUL! Getting to focus on just each other for almost 24 hours was such a gift. He is so fun and smart and witty, not to mention unbelievably romantic. I was reminded of how blessed I am to be his wife and how incredible he is. Being married to Jeff has taught me so much about how Christ loves us. Jeff truly dies to himself daily to love me, as Christ did for the Church. (Let me mention that loving me is many times not very easy.) Having Jeff so unconditionally and sacrificially love me gives me a better understand of how Christ loves us. Even though in my head I understand that God’s love for us is unconditional, my heart has always struggled with believing it. Being married to Jeff has given me a true picture of Christ’s love for me, and I am forever grateful! Thank you babe. I love you!
**Sorry to gush so much about my husband in this last post, but I don’t brag on him near enough!
Wow! 3 posts in one week, I love it! And I am so glad that date night went well, and proud of you for getting away – overnight even! Let's do a double date to III Forks one time, we've never been. ๐
