Friday did not bring us a ruling. Unfortunately, what Friday brought was great violence to Uganda. The capital city of Kampala was affected most. While there have been riots in Jinja since we have been here, there were not any yesterday, and they have not been the size of protests in Kampala. Please pray for peace in Uganda. The political situation is sticky, and I heard yesterday that things were expected to escalate until the President is sworn in again on May 12th. I’m really praying that that isn’t the case.
We are planning to go in to Kampala on Monday, hoping to try to move things along, but when riots started on Friday, the court buildings all closed. We’ll see what the Lord has in store. Thank you so much for all of your words of encouragement and prayers! I can’t tell you how much they mean to us. 🙂
Praying for peace in Kampala and for peace in your heart. So happy to hear the kids are making progress! That is great! Henry reminds me of Owen. And it cracks me up that Hope has chunky thighs. I must squeeze them. Eat an avocado for me, K? Miss you! Can't wait until you are home!
My heart breaks for Uganda and the unrest that is so pervasive in parts of Africa compared to the relative peace and security that these children will have as they grow up in your home and how different their lives will be.
