Motherhood

Jul 9, 2008 · by Jessica Hewitt

I went to an event at Watermark last month that was for mothers of preschoolers. Each month they provide childcare and have a speaker come in and speak on an issue relevent to moms in this phase of life. I was going back through my notes and found this quote. I wanted to share it because I think it captures the essence of motherhood perfectly.

“…someone once said that deciding to have children is like deciding to let your heart walk around outside your body for the rest of your life. And it’s true. Once you have held your very first child in your arms, once you have gazed into those trusting eyes and nuzzled the warm softness of your baby’s cheek, you will never be the same.” –Kathi Mills
