Doctor’s Visit

Aug 30, 2007 · by Jessica Hewitt

Well, today I took both girls to the doctor’s office today for their checkups. Maya had her 2 year and Olivia had her 2 month (even though she’s almost 11 weeks now). Thankfully, my Dad insisted on coming with me to help. I didn’t think I needed it, but I’ve learned that when God sends someone with an offer of help, I should accept. Since having our second baby, I have turned down too many offers that I later really wished I had accepted.

At any rate, the appointment went well. Maya is still pretty big for her age. She is in the 96% for height and 85% for weight. Little Olivia is in the 44% for height and 60% for weight. I’m going to check and see what Maya was at that age, but even though she was only 7.2 lbs when she was born, I think by her 2 month check up she was already in the 90’s% for height and weight. Maybe Olivia will be petite. 🙂

Driving home from the appointment I was realizing how blessed I am to have such healthy girls. When you get ready to start having children, you take for granted that they will come out healthy. I did at least. Besides some reflux and a poochy belly button (umbilical hernia, which is completely harmless), our girls have always had excellent health. I know I sure can’t take any credit for that. I thank the Lord for watching over our girls so well!
